【作品ストーリー】 「研究だけをやっていたのではダメだ　それをどうやって世の中に役立てるか考えよ」 2024年上半期新札が発行され、千円札の肖像となる北里柴三郎の言葉です。 私は大学や小学校で書写書道教育の研究をしていて、作品制作だけでなく論文を書くのですが、研究や論文を書いただけで満足していてはいけないと痛感した言葉です。

These are the words of Shibasaburo Kitasato, whose portrait will be used on the 1,000-yen bill, the new bill to be issued in the first half of 2024.

I have been researching calligraphy education at a university and an elementary school, writing papers as well as producing works of art, and these words made me keenly aware that I should not be satisfied with just doing research and writing papers.
